Third Monday of Advent

I hope you were able to share in the Christmas concert we hosted last Saturday night.  We were so glad to have Jeanine Noyes and her band—Henry, Stephanie and Jessie—come and ring in Christmas for us.  They shared renditions of traditional carols, sang original music, read poetry and recast the story of the shepherds and angels in a Newfoundland outport.  Wonderful!

I just want to publicly say thank you to all of the volunteers who made this evening possible, and especially to the two ladies who will go unnamed here but whose organization and attention to detail made it so easy and enjoyable for the rest of us!  Thank you!

We have heard many wonderful stories from the evening.  We cherish these. Clearly this evening will remain as a significant part of Christmas 2024 for many people. In fact, we know there were some present for whom this was Christmas 2024.  We are humbled by this realization.
