Fellowship "Elbow Bump" for June 9
This will be brief, but I know many of you are looking for ways to respond to recent troubling events in our country.
First, I want to share this announcement that I have just received from our friend Rev. Brian McIntosh of Bloordale United Church. Brian will be participating this evening, with an Imam and Rabbi, in an online vigil for the Afzaal family of London, Ontario (pictured on this page). The vigil will be held at 8PM this evening (June 9) on the following links:
Second, Brian also wants me to share that Bloordale has set up a memorial for the 215 Children of the Tk'emlups te Secwepemc First Nation in Kamloops, BC. You can bring children's shoes or other remembrances at 4258 Bloor St W, Etobicoke ON M9C 1Z7.
We appreciate our friends at Bloordale for making these opportunities available to the community. We will spend more time reflecting on these recent events in our worship time on Sunday. Please plan to attend.
