Every April, community groups, families, individuals and businesses in Toronto are encouraged to spend some time cleaning up litter in a local park, beach, ravine or other natural spaces. More than 1,000 self-directed park cleanups are held across Toronto each spring.
Again for the 6th year, Fellowship Church is sponsoring a neighborhood clean-up event of the Elmcrest Creek area (Bloordale Park North, where the creek runs under Burnhamthorpe Road). This is a great way to get to work together as part of the Earth Day Clean Toronto Together event. We will gather from 12.00 noon – 1.00 pm on Sunday, April 27th. Garbage bags and vinyl gloves will be provided (or bring your own); please wear proper footwear. We will gather behind the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot at 666 Burnhamthorpe Rd. at the northeast entrance to the park.
