Perspective is crucial: what we bring to a situation, and where we stand in observing it, will have a big impact on what we actually see. This is true in the stories about Jesus' birth. What does each individual bring to the story, and thus what is their perspective on him? Is Jesus a problem for them? is Jesus a source of hope and joy? The messages will ask us to consider, what attitude do we bring to Jesus? Do we come with open, expectant hearts? Do we come with fearful hearts? Do we come with selfish hearts?
